Welcome to The Comfort Zone. I’m Kylie Duffau, and I offer a safe, supportive, and confidential space to explore challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and emotional overwhelm. My approach is grounded in evidence-based therapy, and my goal is to walk beside you as you find healing, clarity, and renewed balance. I run my counselling practice from my home in Cowaramup. While it is a home setting, the space has been carefully set up to ensure comfort, privacy, and accessibility for all clients, including those with mobility needs.
A Practice That Welcomes Everyone
Accessibility is deeply important to me—not just as a professional responsibility, but as a reflection of the values that guide my work. I believe that every person, regardless of physical ability, background, or circumstance, deserves equal access to quality mental health support in a space that feels safe, respectful, and welcoming. I understand that taking the step to seek help can already feel vulnerable, and accessibility should never be an added barrier. That’s why I’ve taken thoughtful, practical steps to ensure that your visit to The Comfort Zone is as easy, smooth, and comfortable as possible. From the moment you arrive, whether you’re parking in the driveway, navigating the entryway, or settling into the therapy room, every element of the experience has been arranged with care, attention, and inclusivity in mind.

Visiting the Practice
When you arrive, you will find parking available in the driveway directly in front of the house. From there, access to the counselling room is simple and discreet. You’ll enter through the side gate and follow a level corridor along the side of the house. This leads to the side entrance, where there is a single small step. The step is low and can be safely and easily navigated with a wheelchair or walking aid. Once inside, the therapy room is accessed via the main corridor of the house. The room itself is quiet, light-filled, and thoughtfully designed to provide a calming environment for therapy.

Inside the Therapy Room

The counselling space is approximately 4 meters by 5 meters, with a door and a window that allow for natural light and privacy. The room is furnished with comfortable seating, a desk, and all the elements needed to support meaningful and focused therapeutic work. Whether you are here for a one-off session or ongoing support, the space is yours to feel safe, heard, and at ease.

Website Accessibility

The Comfort Zone’s website is designed to be user-friendly and accessible to everyone. It follows current web accessibility guidelines to support screen readers, keyboard navigation, and a wide range of assistive technologies. We use clear headings, alt text on images, high-contrast design, and a responsive layout that works across all devices.

Ongoing Commitment
I am committed to continually reviewing and improving both my website and my physical counselling space to ensure they meet the needs of everyone who reaches out for support. Accessibility is not a one-time checklist, but an ongoing conversation—one that I approach with openness and care. If you have specific accessibility requirements, or if you notice anything that makes your experience less comfortable or inclusive, I genuinely welcome your feedback. Whether it’s a physical adjustment, a communication preference, or a suggestion to make the website more user-friendly, I am always willing to listen and adapt wherever possible. Your experience matters, and I want every client to feel that this is a space designed with their comfort and dignity in mind.
